Creating a Giant Firebird!

It's been a while guys, sorry. It must have been a BUSY week!
No homework this weekend anyway beacuse of Sports Day on Wednesday so I hope you've had a relaxing weekend. I thought I'd put some pictures of us creating our giant Firebird. We will finish him (or her) this week. As you can see, we are having fun making it. The body is made of chicken wire covered in MODROC which is like the stuff doctors use when they make a cast on your broken arm or leg. Very slimy and messy to work with, but fun. It dries hard.
We have also been cutting out loads and loads of different size feathers to cover the bird. This week we need to paint and cover the bird and make the wings and tail. It will hang from the ceiling in our classroom. I am sure it will look awesome!
