Today's Homework

Hi Folks,
Today I am giving you two maths pages to do. Those of you who are observant will notice that they appeared in the Home Learning booklets. However, a lot of people did not do them, and even those of you who did, and got it right have not convinced me that you totally 'get' place value.
On day one, our place value work was not good and I feel we could ALL do with some reinforcement. SO please be patient and do the sheets (again if applicable to you!).

The pages are in the PHOTOCOPY MASTERS book (PCM) Page 1 and 2. Write in the book.

HOME TOWN PROJECTS: Four people have already brought in posters and done their presentations about their Home Town. Well done to Dina, Zayd, Yasmine and Lara. The rest of the class will be expected to prepare a presentation (the notes appeared in the Home Learning Pack and I have also sent another copy home for those who missed it). I would like to get these finished and presented by the end of next week, so keep working on them please. You can use PowerPoint if you wish, or a poster is fine, but the most important thing is that you can 'present' to the class the information you have discovered about your home town.

It goes without saying that you need to read every day. You don't need a school reading book to do this. Read something to someone at home, and let them read to you. Listening to adults reading aloud is a good way to help your own reading.

Good Luck,
Mrs. W
